Living Like the Parisians do!Paris BIA, Spring 2012
- Riding the Metro to school is new to me, but it’s a great time to get some reading or people watching done.
- Quite often I’ve happened upon some very intricate and impressive street art while strolling around.
- The IES Center is perpendicular to Rue Daguerre, which is full of markets and specialty shops perfect for grabbing lunch or dinner!
- There’s nothing like seeing the Eiffel Tower at night.
- It’s a common trend to attach “love locks” to the bridges crossing the Seine.
- Learning about Notre Dame Cathedral in Art History adds to my appreciation of it.
It’s unreal that I’ve already been here for two weeks! After a busy but fun orientation and week of French intensive, I’m finally starting to feel like I live here. The field visits to the Marais and Mosquée de Paris with my French class helped me discover some of Paris’ secrets and history, and I feel more familiar with the landscape. Hopefully these shots from daily life can give a better idea of what it’s like to live in Paris!
