- So blue
- A ribbon store in the medina
- A cemetary outside of the city
- We walked up to a mosque and got a great view of the city
- I loved this stain on the blue and white walls
- Towels
- Bags of paint and turtles for sale
- Outlines for henna tattoos
- I loved that the entire city had the same color palette
- Blue doors
- Tall buildings
- A girl at a small shop
The second half of my trip to Morocco was spent in Chefchaoen. This is often called the blue city because practically all of the doors, windows, streets, and buildings are painted blue. It is an amazing sight at some points in the medina because you are completely surrounded by this overwhelming blue. Chefchaoen was a great change from Fez; the medina was much more open and clean and it was possible to wander around without getting completely lost like in Fez. I loved visiting Chefchaoen and was a little reluctant to leave. It was a different Morocco in Chefchaoen than we had seen in other parts of the country, but I rather liked the contrasting experiences.
