I was thinking of going, it sounds great. I am at Michigan State University, and would use their program. Did you have any problems while your there? If my parents wanted to get me a gift while I was living there, since my Birthday is during this time, could they? Is there anything set up like a gift giving program?

My main problem while I’ve been here is budgetting. I’d recommend bringing about $5K with you, maybe more if you plan to travel a lot. I brought $3K, thinking it would be enough, and have had to get some help from my parents. Overall, though, it’s been a great experience. Just price of living (food, drink, etc.) is very high in Ireland. As for gifts, your parents can definitely airmail you stuff, but it can get expensive depending on size/weight of the box. For example, my mom sent me an Easter basket over, and it cost about $25 to ship. If you’re considering coming to Ireland, though, I’d definitely recommend Dublin City University (DCU). It’s got a great curriculum and the students and faculty are awesome!
