This past weekend was officially my last trip in New Zealand… and it was a good one. A group of us went down to Coromandel, stayed at this awesome hostel, warmed our toes in natural hot springs, and saw where Narnia was. Hot Water Beach is volcanically active and during low tide you can dig a natural hot tub and sit in the water. We just commandeered someone else’s dug hole and warmed our feet. Some spots were so hot it would burn your feet. Talk about hot sand. It was a gorgeous sunny day but it was pretty chilly so the hot water felt pretty nice. We made out way to Cathedral Cove, which was used in the the second Narnia movie (see if you recognize it). The pictures don’t come close to accurately portraying just how cool it really was. Hopefully they appeal to the visual senses anyways. Enjoy! If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed! - James McArthur, IES Abroad |

HEY JAMIE, I RECOGNIZE THE NARNIA MOVIE, BUT THE HOSTEL (MOVIE) DOESNT LOOK FAMILIAR. MAYBE I MISSED THAT PART OF THE MOVIE. TAKE CARE JIM
Hey, Kid. Love that danger sign. Wow lools like a really cool beach.
So how warm was that water? Talk to you later.
