A couple quick things worth noting: 1) mantequilla de maní (aka: Peanut Butter) is not a popular thing down here, so don’t expect to be getting any Reeses peanut butter cups while your down here. Instead, Super Ocho’s (8) are the most popular candy bar which basically is a wafer cookie encounted in milk chocolate. There is a proper way to eat a Super 8 because you peel it layer by layer (and be prepared to have these as snacks because they are addicting). 2) A normal Saturday/Sunday meal schedule consist of breakfast, a large Lunch and a snack in replacement of dinner (because you are so full from lunch). This snack is called Unces of (11’s) and is usually consumed around 7:30pm. The average snack is sopapillas, or some other bread product with butter(fare warning: if you don’t like bread and butter, this isn’t the place for you). 3) There is a lot of cool stuff to do including going to check out the local museums which can be found near Parque Bernardo O’Higgins and La Plaza del Armas del Centro which I recommend checking out when you get a chance because they are really cool. Looking forward to this next week where I’m taking a trip to San Pedro de Atacama to go sandboarding, stargazing, and much, much more!!
