In this blog, I tried to summarize our final week of our study abroad experience. It all went by so fast, but the last week passed especially quickly. After the realization that we only had a week left, everyone was frantically doing all of their favorite things one last time and seeing friends and doing things before we ran out of time! I went to my favorite restaurant again, made a delicious meal with my new friends, walked around the city for a few hours, had a cup of coffee from my favorite cafe, and just tried to take in every last bit that Arles had to offer. At our farewell party, we all said our final goodbyes to our new friends and host families, as well as our directors and the city of Arles. It was a bittersweet evening, but in french, “au revoir” means roughly “until we see again”. So au revoir, Arles, until we see each other again.
