Zachary Zimmerman London Direct Enrollment, Fall 2011

Zach is a California native raised in Silicon Valley who is now a Junior at Loyola University Chicago. Zach has been involved in numerous Loyola Chicago organizations including the Department of Programming, CUERP (Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy), LUC Green Living Learning Community, and is the Vice President of the Loyola Marketing Club. He has also hed numerous marketing communications internships: American Red Cross of Greater Chicago, Starcom MediaVest Group, and Eastwick Communications. In his spare time he loves to try to best of Chicago cuisine and play golf with his friends and family. He's looking forward to immersing himself in British culture exploring the British Isles and beyond during his trip abroad.

  After four days in London, I have finally acclimated. With a proper amount of sleep and water in me, I am bouncing off the walls, eager to go explore the streets and take in the sights, sounds, and smells.

  I was 14 when I first visited London – excited and overwhelmed by the bustling metropolis renowned as the European capital of commerce. But let’s be serious, back then I was more enamored with the ‘funny’ accent of the locals and the London Eye than the city’s global influence on the world economy and medieval history.
