Sheema Golbaba
Barcelona, Summer 2011
Sheema Golbaba is a rising sophomore at Harvard College in Cambridge, MA. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sheema plans to pursue a joint degree in Sociology and Visual & Environmental Studies (film production). In her spare time, Sheema works as a writer and filmographer for the Harvard Arts Beat, one of Harvard University’s central arts publications. Moreover, she serves as a Senior Associate board member for Harvard Undergraduate Television’s Events & Strategy sector while also regularly volunteering at a local homeless shelter. Sheema is ecstatic to personally experience the beauty and livelihood of Spanish language and culture. During her experience in Spain, she hopes to salsa dance, make new friends, truly learn the Spanish culture, and develop an even better sense of being a global citizen.
