Sara Hvizdak Rome, Spring 2010

Sara Hvizdak is a Sophomore at University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in the IES Abroad Rome Program. She is double majoring in Art and Psychology, and is filling both a long awaited dream and life goal by studying in Italy. She chose to live in Rome because of the opportunity to study Art at a local university, as well as the plentiful, rich Italian culture so close by. During the semester, she hopes to visit local museums and cathedrals, while also improving her Italian speaking and creating friendships she hopes to impact her for a lifetime.

  I went on the IES field trip to Venice Venice was beautiful! I feel in love as soon as I exited the train station. IES treated us to a tour of the Jewish ghetto synagogues, St. Mark’s square, the Islands Murano and Burano, and the Peggy Guggenheim museum.
