Barcelona, Spring 2010

Philly Kirkwood is a junior political science major, theatre minor at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. She hopes to pursue a career in broadcast journalist as a news anchor. Philly chose to study in Barcelona, Spain to expand her political, social, and cultural worldview as she connects with other cultures and people. She is also very interested in how European media affects their politics and how their media differs from that of the United States. Philly lives by the motto: Carpe Diem, “Seize the Day”.

I joined thousands of fans last night to my first futbol game! I am not even a big fan of soccer but I was definitely into the game! I can’t express how many screaming fans were there. It was complete madness!
