Chez Moi
We were warned, on our “Re-Entry” presentation at IES, about the “U” that often occurs upon returning home from a study abroad. The dreadful “U” involves falling from the high that is study abroad and its constant new experiences, down to depths of the U which is the relative dullness of being home, and then slowly building back up to normalcy (and the realization that life back in the US isn’t SO bad).

Recaps 1, 2, 3
It’s quite surreal to have been in so many different places within just one month—I have been to Dublin, Ireland, Paris, France, and Geneva, Switzerland. When I booked my flights and planned out my study abroad semester those trips seemed far off, but they have quickly come and gone!

La societe francaise contemporaine
Tomorrow I have my “Contemporary French Society” midterm which I’m feeling fairly well-prepared for. I thought I would post a blog with things of interest I have learnt in that class and touch on some of things we have been studying.

More Chateaux, eh?
Last weekend I had the opportunity to head back into the beautiful Loire Valley for some more Chateau immersion. Except this time it was ChateauX (plural). Five of them.

Excursions, excursions!
Last weekend I participated in the IES excursion to Mont St. Michel/St. Malo! It was very very beautiful and very very cold.
