Wait… It’s Time to Leave Already?
Last day in Ecuador. I can’t believe the time has passed so fast and it’s already time to go back to the U.S.

This One Time in Ecuador…
It’s only been two weeks since I’ve left Quito, but after being busy at home for 2 weeks straight catching up with friends and the excitement of the holidays, there are moments where my time in Ecuador seems a lifetime away.

The IES Areas and Language Studies Program is a language immersion program, and therefore all of our classes were in Spanish. As part of the program we were given the opportunity to enroll in one of two local universities in Quito, UPS or PUCE, as well as take classes with IES.

Un Noche en La Ronda
Usually as a group we spend weekend nights in the Mariscal, or Gringolandía. But for a change of pace, last night we went to La Ronda, a little area in the historic center of Quito that we visited the first week on our tour and have been meaning to make our way back to ever since.

Adios y Hola
It’s more than slightly nerve-wracking thinking about what I’ve gotten myself into, as I know very close to nothing about the people I’ll be living with for the next few months, the other students going on this study abroad program, and to be perfectly honest…Ecuador as a whole.
