Until We Meet Again, Dublin
I cannot believe I have already been home for a month. Words cannot begin to describe how much I miss Dublin.

You Can Take the Student Out of Dublin, but You Can’t Take Dublin Out of the Student
I’ve been thinking about that a lot actually—how I will sum up my study abroad experience in a few sentences. The truth is, I can’t. There are so many things I want to say about my time here in Ireland, but one of the most important thoughts I have is how I’ve changed.

Contae Chiarraí! (County Kerry!)
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to visit County Kerry with IES.

A Drop of Water is Worth More Than a Bag of Gold to a Thirsty Man
Most people don’t think about resources that are so readily available to them, like water. We just turn a tap on, and out it comes. When necessities are taken away, we truly realize how much and how often we use them!

Easter Reflections
This week in the Catholic faith is Holy Week. Easter is approaching this Sunday, and it is interesting to see how another culture and country celebrates this religious holiday.

“Everyone’s Irish on March 17th!”
I’m proud to call myself a Dubliner, and it felt so funny to feel like my city was over-taken by tourists. Then, I realized that was the beauty of Dublin and Ireland in general. It attracts people from all over the world–there’s just something about it, I almost can’t explain it.

A Spring Break Like No Other
I wish I could put into words what it was like being able to experience Scotland and Northern Ireland. It was almost to awesome for words, as cheesy as that sounds. This study abroad experience has opened so many doors for me to travel to new places, make new friends, and experience my surroundings like I’ve never been able to before.

The Beauty of Language is Confusion
Dublin has surprised me in so many ways. The diversity here is absolutely incredible! I can walk down Rathmines Road and find Lebanese restaurants, an Italian Cafe, a cute tea shop, and a Brazilian cafe. People from all over the world seem to be flocking to Dublin, and I don’t blame them!

“Man never made any material as resilient as the human spirit.” -Bern William
I am thoroughly enjoying the classes I am enrolled in. One class in particular, The Shadows that We Cast, has a particularly warm place in my heart.

The Moment
You know that moment when you realize you are right where you should be? I had that moment tonight.

You Can Have your Cake and Eat It Too!
Over the weekend, two of my flatmates were visiting friends in London. My other flatmate and I had the place to ourselves and decided to make a cake on Friday night.

Putting the “Study” in Study Abroad!
When most people think of studying abroad, they picture students traveling all over the country they may be in, but rarely do they remember that students actually take classes! I know that when I pictured myself studying abroad when I was younger, I thought about all the sights I would see and experiences I would have. While I am doing just that, a large part of the study abroad experience is the “studying” aspect.

Welcome to Dublin! Fáilte go Baile Átha Cliath!
My next goal is to master the city’s transportation system—the bus and the Luas (a sort of electric train that runs all over the city). As soon as I pick up my student travel card, I’ll be off to museums and other towns in Ireland to explore!

May the Road Rise Up to Meet You
Whenever people ask me about what I expect from the next four months, all I can say is that I expect to surprise myself, and I anticipate new opportunities and learning experiences. I’ll be spending a semester in an incredible country that I’ve always longed to visit, and it seems all the more real now that I am leaving in just about a week.
