Missing Milano
I have been back in California for three weeks now and I have started to feel nostalgic about my time abroad.

This is not “Ciao”
So as I sit here, sipping my favorite wine I discovered here in Italy, I just keep telling myself “This isn’t ciao, this is just arrivederci.”
-
Almost time to “Ciao” out of Milan
My time in Milan is almost over.

Florence and Paris!
In the past month I was able to take a weekend trip to both Florence and Paris.

Gearing Up For the End
The IES program end date is getting closer. I am getting ready for finals and finishing last projects but, I have a trip to Florence planned for the weekend and one last trip to Paris with one of my roommates on June 11th.

Ibiza and Barcelona
I love Spain! For the second part of my spring break, my roommate and I decided to go to Ibiza and Barcelona.

Culture and Cuisine in Italy
Before spring break started I went on the Culture and Cuisine trip put together by IES. During this trip a bus lugged around all of us IES students to Cremona, Parma, Montova, then finally to Castell’Arquato. We saw many Duomos and theaters, walked around a lot, and also ate a lot(which was the best part.)

Week and a Half of Travel
This weekend though I will be going on the IES culture and cuisine trip. I’m excited to eat all weekend!

Sensational Brussels
Last weekend I finally traveled outside of Italy and went to Brussels! I went with two of my roommates but many IES students also went to the Brussels the same weekend to attend a concert called Sensation. We also went to Sensation but we had all day Saturday to explore the city which mostly involved eating.

I have finally figured out the problem with uploading photos so this post will be dedicated to all the photos I tired to upload for the last three posts!

Milan Fashion Week and Carnivale
Milan Fashion Week just ended yesterday and what better way to end it than by going to a fashion show! This past weekend was also carnivale for Milan so we attempted to walk to the Duomo square to partake the the festivities.
-
Venice for Carnivale!
The weekend of the 17th a few of my roommates and I took the train to Venice for carnivale! It was great. There were a lot of people on the train who also were on their way to carnivale.

Snow (Hey Oh)
Apparently this is the coldest winter Milan had had 50 years or so. While I don’t disagree that it is uncomfortably cold it is not all that bad, especially when it is snowing! My one wish while I was abroad in Milan was that it would snow so I was astatic when it did.

Lost
It’s hard to believe i’ve been in Milan for three weeks now. It feels like it has been longer. I just ended my second week of my intensive italian course and it is indeed, intense. We are learning so much so fast.

Weary Traveller
I think the jet-lag has finally passed and now that we do not have orientation, I have free afternoons to explore this city.
