A group of six of us, all apartment mates, headed to Belfast for the weekend of the 15-16th to experience the impressive Giants Causeway and to walk the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge.
We arrived on Saturday morning and spent the first day checking into our hostel and wandering around the city. We came across a great park, Lagan Meadows, where we met interesting people and explored more greenhouses than I have ever seen one park contain
At night, we headed to a local pub, The Elms, with cheep pints and good burgers. As we had an early morning, we headed back to the hostel around 10 and proceeded to make a fort out of everything in the room, play cards, show-off poor magic tricks, and tell stories. Not the typical night for a bunch ‘a 20-somethings, but it was perfect.
Paddy’s Wagon tours, the perfect option for the low-budget traveler, picked us up the next morning and we headed out to see the beautiful sights that Northern Ireland had to offer accompanied by perfect weather the entire day. I will let the photo gallery speak for the sights, as they are too incredible for words.
